You win this round Apple

It finally happened. I avoided it, ignored it, and was even chastised for not doing it. If I had my way I probably still wouldn’t have, but today it became apparent that Apple was going to win this round. So with that, I begrudgingly set aside my pride and updated my iOS. It might sound childish, but I wasn’t exactly thrilled to do so. I’d heard a plethora of complaints (my sister lost all of her contacts when she updated) and frankly I’ve put up with a ton of change lately. (I also was super worried about losing my contacts despite it being an irrational fear.) I wasn’t really looking for more from my Apple products. Don’t get me wrong I love my iPhone and my MacBook Pro just as much as the next journo, but I figured with Christmas around the corner a new iPhone was nearly in my palm. So why change if I enjoyed what I had? … Then all my apps decided to update. This was a losing battle folks. I just wasn’t ready to accept it.
I haven’t taken the time to play around with it yet. I’m sure it has both pros and cons to it. I guess this is just another guarantee from birth besides death and taxes. I hope, however, I’ve learned my lesson.
